Why do I choose certain ingredients? Well, I choose ingredients for the goodness and support they can give to my body (and yours). But first I look for taste; without great tasting ingredients any food is going to disappoint. Then I look for health benefits, first of which is a low impact on blood sugar, i.e. the carbs must be “Good Carbs” having a low Glycaemic Index (GI). Then I look for healthy fats, preferably ingredients which supply some essential fatty acids (EFA’s) especially omega 3. And finally, I look for the mineral contents so that my Granolas
all contain the vital trace elements which our bodies need.
