Your Summer Workout Playlist

Posted: 30 June 2017

Your Summer Workout Playlist

We’ve already concluded that music can help your fitness performance – but what music should be on your playlist for Summer 2017? We put the question to some of our friends and colleagues to get their top picks for motivational songs you need to have on your summer workout playlist – see the top ten tracks they came up with below, and their reasons for the song making their workout playlists!

Little Mix – Power (feat. Stormzy)
“This has quickly become my new favourite workout jam – a good dose of female empowerment, a killer video and a seriously good beat to pace yourself to.”

Jax Jones – You Don’t Know Me (feat. RAYE)
“I thought I’d be sick of this song by now but I can’t get it off any of my playlists, never mind just my workout one!”

Kanye West – Power

“Songs with power in the title are almost guaranteed to be good for hitting the gym and sure enough Kanye delivered with this absolute workout tune – it always pushes me to work that bit harder.”

Tinie Tempah – Girls Like (feat. Zara Larsson)
“It’s just a good mood booster and gets you thinking about how you’re going to look in the club after you’ve been working out all week.”

Blonde – All Cried Out (feat. Alex Newell)
“Combine this with a breakup and you’re ready to get that incredible post heartbreak gym bod with this on your playlist.”

Tough Love – So Freakin’ Tight
“If one thing’s going to motivate you to get yourself into shape, it’s these lads singing about how good you look

Riton – Rinse & Repeat (feat. Kah-Lo)
“One of my favourites for when I’m lifting – really good rhythm to it.”

Breach – Jack
“I want your body…your gym body. This has a great beat to run to without being too full-on like some workout tracks.”

Rudimental – Waiting All Night (feat. Ella Eyre)
“This was made to be a running song – definitely one for fans of taking your run to the great outdoors and away from the treadmill”

Ed Sheeran – Shape of You (Major Lazer Remix feat. Nyla & Kranium)

“I’m not usually a fan of gym tracks, but take my favourite pop songs and turn them into a workout mix and I’m there”
